Northern Arizona Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority

NAIPTA is a regional organization including Coconino and Yavapai Counties; the cities of Flagstaff, Sedona, and Cottonwood, and Northern Arizona University. NAIPTA was formed to coordinate the planning of public transportation services of the region's growing population.

NAIPTA Currently Operates

  • Mountain Line Fixed Route Service in Flagstaff
  • Mountain Lift Paratransit Service in Flagstaff
  • Mountain Link Fixed Route Service in Flagstaff
  • Verde Lynx Commuter Service between Cottonwood
    and Sedona
  • Cottonwood Area Transit (CAT) fixed route, paratransit, and limited dial-a-ride service in Cottonwood

Each of the communites in the NAIPTA region has a distinct character and population. However, they all share the need for cost effective, high-quailty, customer-friendly transit. Joined together under NAIPTA, Northern Arizona's communities can benefit from the professionalism and cost-efficiency of a larger transit organization while continuing to reflect the unique personality and needs of the area.
