NAIPTA - the Northern Arizona Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority - is a regional organization including Coconino and Yavapai Counties; the cities of Flagstaff, Sedona, and Cottonwood; and Northern Arizona University to coordinate planning and transportation services. NAIPTA currently operates:
  • Mountain Line fixed route service in Flagstaff
  • Mountain Lift paratransit service in Flagstaff
  • RoadRunner fixed route service in Sedona
  • RoadRunner paratransit service in Sedona
  • RoadRunner Cottonwood Express commuter service between Cottonwood and Sedona

NAIPTA coordinates with:

  • Mountain Campus Transit fixed route service at Northern Arizona University
  • Cottonwood Area Transit System (CATS) checkpoint deviation and demand response service in Cottonwood

Jeff Meilbeck, NAIPTA General Manager, accepts the 2002 Community Transportation System of the Year Award for Coconino County's and the City of Flagstaff's - Mountain Line and VanGo paratransit transportation services.
